My Salad Dressing & Microgreens in your Salad
Updated: Nov 18, 2019
I love a good salad. Microgreens are a great substitute for leafy greens from the grocery store that probably have pesticides on them. Even organically grown produce has organic pesticides sprayed on it. Imagine being able to go pesticide free! Growing your own microgreens or buying them locally can be a way to do that.
Spicy Salad mix from True Leaf Market is an amazing blend of broccoli, blue curly kale, purple vienna kohlrabi, arugula, red acre cabbage, and southern giant mustard green. I love using this mix as the base for my salad.
My Dressing:
olive oil
locally made vinegar from the farmer's market
salt & pepper
turmeric
Optional: add other spices/hot sauce
The Salad Itself:
Microgreens! - Salad Mix, Leeks, Pea Shoots, etc.
Any desired veggies - carrots, celery, peppers, tomatoes, sauteed mixed veggies, etc.
Optional salad toppings: shredded cheese, seasoned ground beef or sausage, bacon
